IFE FOODAPEST Exhibition opened
IFE FOODAPEST Exhibition is an important event for Hungarian food industry – Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development state-secretary Zoltán Gőgös pointed out in his speech opening the international event.
He said that the atmosphere was optimistic at the first exhibition last year. Food industry expected the forthcoming period to be successful. However several unexpected difficulties hindered the economy and the industry. This means new challanges for the food industry too. He added that the industry has nothing to feel ashamed of. It has developed a lot int he last few years and tried to meet the great challanges of the world.
We should run ahead, since only developments can enhance the industry. Zoltán Gőgös encoureged every player of the market to try to give new answers to the problems and learn from one another at domestic and international level. IFE FOODAPEST is an excellent occasion for that, Zoltán Gőgös said.

2007 was the first year that IFE Hungary and FOODAPEST, Hungary’s leading trade fairs for the food, drink & hospitality industry, joined forces to form IFE FOODAPEST. Key achievements included:

- Exhibitors from 19 countries
- Support from 9 leading international trade associations, including the AMC
- The exhibition was officially opened by Jozsef Graf, the Minister of Rural and Agricultural Development.
